Reinforcement Email — One-Week Adaptability Follow-Up

Quick check-in: how’s “Notice → Pause → Choose” going?

Hi [Name],

A week ago, we talked about adaptability — not as a personality trait, but as something you can practice: Notice → Pause → Choose.

I’m curious: has a moment come up this week where you tried it?

Maybe it was a shifting deadline. A change in plans you didn’t see coming. A conversation that went differently than expected.

You don’t need a polished answer. Just take 30 seconds and think back — did you notice the moment? Did you pause before reacting? What did you choose?

If nothing comes to mind yet, that’s okay too — the framework works even when you use it on the next thing, not the last one.

One small ask: reply to this email with even one sentence about a moment you noticed this week. Not for me to grade — just so the idea stays a little more real than a slide from last week’s session.

Talk soon,

P.S. If the session sparked something you want to talk through further, my door (or inbox) is open.

What This Demonstrates

Reinforcement isn’t an afterthought bolted onto a workshop — it’s a designed touchpoint with its own clear ask, low friction, and a genuine invitation to reflect, not just a “hope you enjoyed the session!” email.
