Coaching Reflection Worksheet — Weekly Check-In
A redacted, representative sample of the reflection worksheet I use between coaching sessions to keep momentum and surface what actually needs attention next.
Purpose
Most growth happens between sessions, not during them. This worksheet gives structure to that in-between time so reflection doesn’t stay vague or get skipped entirely.
Weekly Check-InWeek of ____________
Before you fill this out: find five quiet minutes. This works best right after something happens, not days later when the details have blurred.
1What happened this week that you’d want to talk through? One specific moment, not a general summary of the week.
2What did you do well in that moment?Notice this even if the moment overall felt hard.
3What would you do differently, if anything? Not judgment — just information for next time.
4What’s one pattern you’re starting to notice about yourself?Across several weeks, not just this one.
5What do you want to focus on before our next session?
A Note on Using This
This isn’t homework to get right. It’s a tool to make sure the real material makes it into the room, instead of getting lost between now and the next conversation.
